Swivel caster introduction:
Recent years, swivel caster's application is pretty far-ranging,nearly involved in all products,all industries. In terms of different industry's requirements, varied casters were invented continuously.There are, in total, about 160000 types of industrial casters in the world.
Caster is mainly divided into two broad categories:swivel casters and fixed casters
Directional caster,also called fixed caster/rigid caster, that is, wheel is fitted into the bracket without offset and swivel function. Wheels in the rigid bracket can only move along straight lines because of no swivel structure.
Swivel caster,wheel fitted into the 360 degree swivel bracket, can rotate 360 degree under load-carrying or unload condition.

In accordance with industrial casters international standard, we hereby introduce swivel casters briefly
Swivel caster definition:wheel fitted into the bracket with offset. This bracket can freely swivel around vertical geometry axis
Swivel caster's categories(as per fitting type):Plate fitting swivel caster, bolt hole swivel caster, threaded stem caster.
Swivel caster's brake arrangement:single brake swivel caster and dual brake swivel caster.Single brake swivel caster can only stop the wheel working. Dual brake swivel caster not only can stop the wheel rolling,also can stop wheel swivel.
Swivel casters generally matched with fixed casters in usage. For example, trolley's caster arrangement is two fixed casters at front and two swivel casters in the rear.
How to choose the right casters?
1.Load capacity
2.Applied environment
3.All kinds of special weather,such as humidity,high temperature and severe cold.
4.Working place with chemicals, blood, oil,machine oil,salt,etc.
5.Impact-resistance or silent rolling requirement.
Considering different applied environments, corresponding factors needed to notice is different.Sometimes,load capacity is the most important, and sometimes,weather,temperature is considerable. We should choose proper swivel casters in terms of actual situation.
